Delete Your Data

PostCheck keeps very little. Your photos are analyzed and then discarded, and the app has no account to sign in to. Here is what we can hold, and how to remove all of it.
What we may hold
- Anonymous usage events tied to a random device id, never your name or email.
- If you connected Instagram: the Instagram id and username you linked, the photos you sent us by direct message, and the results we sent back. Those are kept so the app can show them in Recents.
- Subscription status, handled by Apple and RevenueCat. We never see your payment details.
Disconnect Instagram from the app
Open PostCheck, go to the Instagram tab, and tap Disconnect. That removes the link between your Instagram account and the app, and deletes every photo and result you sent by direct message. It takes effect immediately.
Remove PostCheck from Instagram
In the Instagram app, open Settings, then Website permissions, then Apps and websites. Remove PostCheck there. This revokes our access on Instagram's side. Do this in addition to disconnecting in the app if you want both ends cleared.
Delete everything else
Email [email protected]with the subject line "Delete my data". If you connected Instagram, include your Instagram username so we can find the record. We delete what we hold within 30 days and confirm by reply. Deleting the app from your phone removes everything stored on the device itself.
